Boric Acid removal
An important modification has been the exclusion of boric acid as an additive to commonly used items, such as DPD 1, 2, 3 and 4, Cyanuric acid and Phenol Red tablets.
(Boric acid is a hazardous chemical that can affect fertility. The European Union classified it as a "Substance of Very High Concern".)

Lovibond® Arsenic Test Kit (highly sensitive)
The test procedure for determining arsenic levels includes the removal of the interfering sulfide ions. In order to minimise the danger involved with this test method, highly toxic lead acetate has been replaced for the purpose of sulfide removal.
